Dr. Chaitali Das is an internationally acclaimed, award-winning Jute Revivalist, Social Reformer, Social Entrepreneur, and Guinness World Record holder dedicated to empowering marginalized communities. Through her pioneering initiative “Jute Story Beyond Bars” and startup Route2Jute Pvt. Ltd., incubated at the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta Innovation Park, she combines sustainability with prisoner rehabilitation and skill development. A philanthropist, mentor, and global speaker, she advocates for human dignity, second chances, and environmental conservation. Her award-winning documentary Jute Story Beyond Bars has received 12 national and international honors. During her cancer journey, she authored PAAT-RANI – The Queen of Jute, chronicling her mission and impact. Her work has transformed the lives of over 3,000 prison inmates, skilled 2,000+ individuals in jute-based livelihoods, and empowered more than 1,000 rural women.
